  PAUL LOGHRY OBITUARY:
  
  Funeral services for Paul Loghry, 67, or Spirit Lake were held Wednesday, April 24, at the Harpole-Tenold Chapel with the Rev. Wayne Carlson of United Methodist Church officiating.
  
  Mr. Loghry died April 22 at Dickinson County Memorial Hospital. He had operated a feed grinder until 1968 and then drove and delivered motor homes until 1973.
  
  Paul Loghry was born December. 22, 1907 in Page County, Iowa, the son of Orville E. and Myrtle Jenkins Loghry. He attended school in Page County and was a longtime Spirit Lake resident. He was a member of the Methodist church.
  
  Survivors include: his wife, Pearl; seven step-children; four sisters, five brothers. He was preceded in death by his parents, first wife, and three brothers.
  
  Pallbearers were Cecil Seelinger, Les Vetter, Fritz Teuberf, Duane Dreeszem, Leo Happe. Honorary casket bearers were Arnie Hawks, Arnie Carsteeson, Martin Barry, Glen Dreeszem.
  
  Interment was in the Superior Cemetery with the Harpole-Tenold Funeral Home in charge.¹²

Estell Walter Loghry, son of Orville and Myrtle (Jenkins) Loghry was born January 2, 1918 at Page County, IA and passed from this life April 15, 1978 at the Putnam County Memorial Hospital at the age of 60 years, 3 months and 13 days of age.
  
  Speed was raised and educated in the area of his birth. Later Speed volunteered in the Navy and spent time on the ship USS Cleveland. He was involved in the Pacific Theatre during the 2nd World War. While Speed was in the Navy he was united in marriage to Lillian Young, September 11, 1942 and this union was blessed with one child.
  
  Speed was a member of the American Legion Post No. 34 of Unionville, MO. Speed worked on the Highway Department for about 25 years until his eyes gave out, and was unable to work.
  
  Speed was preceded in death by his parents, four brothers; Clifford, Paul, David and Richard.
  
  Survivors include his wife, Lillian; one son, Tom Loghry and wife Elaine of Lemons, MO, three brothers, Wesley of Des Moines, IA, Henry and Cecil both residing in Iowa; four sisters, May, Alice, and Marie all of Iowa and Iva which lives in Scottsbluff, NE; four grandchildren, Miki, Tammy, Tommy, and Mike Loghry of Lemons, MO. Also surviving are several nieces and nephews and a host of friends.
  
  Speed's thoughts and concern was for others. He was restriced and stayed close to home because of his eye sight. He was a loving father and husband and will be missed by all those who knew him.
  
  Services were held Sunday, April 16, 1978 at 1:30 P.M. at the graveside, with Dick Bruner the officiating minister. Burial was in the Unionville Cemetery, Unionville, MO, under the direction of Comstock Funeral Home.¹⁸

Walker-Merrick Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
  
  Marie Squires was born February 28, 1922, in Page County, to John Orville Loghry and Myrtle Jenkins Loghry. She was united in marriage June 21, 1942, to Benjamin Joseph Wardlow. In this union they brought forth five children: Fanny Strange, Benny Wardlow, Verna Hoover, Alice Kalkas and Melvin Wardlow. Her first husband preceded her in death April 1950. She continued to raise these five children on her own for two years until she met and married Mahlon (Jr.) Squires. This union took place June 21, 1952. Together with Jr. she bore another five children: William Squires, Gerald Squires, Carol Terry, Cheryl Terry and Chester Squires. The children were all brought up in the Page County area.
  
  Survivors include her children, Benny Wardlow and wife Beverly of Pocahontas, Iowa; Verna Hoover and husband Richard of Havelock, Iowa; Alice Kalkas and husband Willard of Havelock, Iowa; Melvin Wardlow and wife Judy of Havelock, Iowa; William Squires of Shenandoah, Iowa; Gerald Squires of Shenandoah, Iowa; Carol Terry of Shenandoah, Iowa; Cheryl Terry and husband Kim of Shenandoah, Iowa; Chester Squires and wife Sherry of Pocahontas, Iowa; many grandchildren and great grandchildren, mother-in-law, Letha Houilhan of Corning, Iowa; and sister Iva Ross of Scottsbluff, Nebraska. Preceding her in death were her parents, both husbands, daughter Fanny Strange, 11 brothers and sisters, Richard Loghry, Guy Loghry, Paul Loghry, May Dunn, Cecil Loghry, Clifford Loghry, Alice Dunn, David Loghry, Estell Loghry, Westly Loghry, Hank Loghry, two grandchildren, Laura Marie Zook and Andrew Muchler.¹⁰
