  Larry "The Marshall" Earp, 77, passed away peacefuly, in his sleep Friday, July 1, 2016, with his wife Cathy by his side.
  
  Larry was born on January 25, 1939 to Harold and Thelma Earp. He grew up in the Valley Junction area of West Des Moines and attended Valley High School. In 1961, Larry married the love of his life, Cathy Dickey. They were happily married for 55 years and blessed with three children, Laurie, Craig and Chad, which they raised on the northwest side of Des Moines.
  
  Larry worked as a sales representative for Sealy Mattress of Des Moines, traveling three states and later retired from Omaha Bedding. Larry had many passions such as poker, golf, pool, traveling and most of all, spending time with his family.
  
  He was an amazing husband, father and friend. He also adored his grandchildren, Mikayla Rickford, Josephine and Madeline Earp. He will be missed by all who knew him.
  
  Larry is survived by his wife, Cathy, daughter, Laurie (Ralph) Eaton; two sons, Craig (Melissa) Earp and Chad Earp all of Des Moines; three grandchildren, Mikayla Rickford, Josephine and Madeline Earp; and his nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Harold and Thelma Earp; and brother, Harold Earp, Jr.
  
  A Celebration of Life mass will be held on Saturday, July 9, 2016, 10 a.m. at St. Theresa's Catholic Church in Des Moines. The family will greet friends and family prior to mass beginning at 9 a.m.
  
  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be directed to the Alzheimer's Association of Des Moines.³
