  His children are Shirley Steff and Michael Chartier, Clive, Iowa, Ben and Nancy Steffe, DeeEtta Riley, and Dawn and Bob Cooper, all of Sioux City. He has seven grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
  
  Mr. Steffe was employed at Albertson's (Sioux Tools); and was a letter carrier with the United States Postal Service for 28 years, retiring in 1980. He was in the United States Navy in World War II and served in the South Pacific. He is a charter member of St. Mark Lutheran Curch and a member of the American Legion Morningside Post 397.
