• Note: In 1912 Michael had the misfortune of having the scaffolding under him break while at work on the old Baptist Church in the southwest part of Kinmundy. The fall injured his back and finally caused him to lose his eyesight. Around 1914 the family moved to Kinmundy and Michael transferred his church membership to the Kinmundy Southern Methodist Church and when it terminated to the Methodist Episcopal Church. With this handicap he was still able to make his own way about the streets of town and could find any business house in Kinmundy. For many years he made two daily trips to the business district to get the mail and visit with the local gentlemen. During the winter months when walking was restricted by the weather Alice would read the Bible, newspaper and books to Michael.¹

Today the village is a suburb to the city of Odense.¹

• Death: He died in 1839, at age ~83, The administration of the estate took place April 24, 1839. At that time, only one of Morten's children were stil alive. Mette Cathrine Mortensdatter Lindegaard, born 1792 and married to Peder Christensen, a farmer from Bullerup. The farm at Bullerup was left by will to Morten's grandson, Morten Christian Lindegaard Pederson, son of Mette Cathrine Mortensdatter.¹

• Note: Morten and his family moved to a farm at Bullerup. At that time it was the biggest farm in the village, and it seems that Morten managed the farm for the other until 1828 when he saved enough to buy it. Bullerup is a few miles northeast of Odense.
  
  In 1786, Morten lived with his family at Ubberud, a few miles west of Odense. At the time of the 1787 census he resided at "Backhuset," Ubberud, and his occupation is described as "farmer and glover." He was 31 years of age, Dorthe is 30, and they have three daughters, Mette Cathrine age 10, Anne Dorthe age 6, and Sidsel age 1.
  
  Morten and Dorthe moved a couple of times while living at Ubberud. It seems that he bought a farm and more and more land. Sometimes in the early 1800s they moved to Skibhusene where he acquired an even bigger farm.¹
• Census: He appeared on the census in 1834. Farmer at Bullerup, 78 years of age. Living with his second wife Kirsten Poulsdatter, 54 years, and a maid servant.¹
