Carroll Leon Loghry, 75 of Thurman, IA died Thursday, November 25,2021 at his home. Carroll was born October 25, 1946 in Shenandoah, IA to John and Norma (Focht) Loghry. He spent many years living and farming the family home place near Thurmnan. Carroll enjoyed fishing and hunting raccoon and deer.

Carroll was preceded in death by his parents, brother Jack Loghry, sister Nancy Vanatta, brother-in-law Rod Umphreys and nieces Jeane Elaine, Jennifer, and Jamie Beers. He is survived by 3 sisters Brenda Beers and husband Charlie of Sidney,IA., Sandy Umphreys of Thurman, IA., Jeannie Navrkal and husband Dan of Beaver Lake, NE., 2 brothers John Loghry and wife Lori of Thurman, IA., Randy Loghry and wife Tracy of Glenwood, IA., sister-in-law Donna Loghry of Osage Beach, MO., Brother-in-law Donnie Vanatta of Tabor, IA., numerous nieces and nephews, and many other relatives and friends.

Graveside services will be at 2:00 PM Thursday, December 2, 2021 at the Thurman, IA Cemetery with Pastor Richard Billingsley officiating. Visitation will be open from 5:00 to 7:00 PM Wednesday at the Marshall Funeral Chapel in Sidney, IA. Memorials will go to the Thurman Volunteer Fire Department. The Marshall Funeral Chapel in Sidney, IA is in charge of arrangements.

Miss Priscilla R. Loghry was born Jan. 20, 1847, in the state of Illinois, and died September 23, 1927, at Wilsonville, Nebr., aged 80 years, 8 months and 3 days. When a small child she moved with her parents to Mahaska county, Iowa.

She was united in marriage to Richard M. Rhamy, Oct 5, 1864, at Oskaloosa, Iowa. To this union were born thirteen children. Two died in infancy. Della May Gipe died May 28, 1910, at the age of 30 years. The living children are J.F. Rhamy of Atwood, Kans., Mrs. Minnie Thomas of Portland, Ore., Charles A. Rhamy of Garden Grove, Iowa, David E. Rhamy, Howard Ridge, Mo., Richard W. Rhamy, White Salmon, Wash., Joseph D. Rhamy of Villisca, Iowa, Mrs. P. Hepdon, Denver, Colo., Mrs. Edith Loghry, Newell, S. Dak., Mrs. George Schrepfer, Hopkins, Minn., Mrs. Maggie Baldwin, Epworth, Iowa.

On Sept. 9, 1903, her husband passed away at Garden Grove, Iowa, and on Nov 6, 1919, she was united in marriage to Julius O. Stone of Wilsonville, Nebr.

She was a very loving mother and faithful wife. She was a conscientious Christian, a member of the Free Methodist church from early womanhood. She was loved by all who knew her.
We, her husband and children, sincerely thank all those that so faithfully assisted us in this sad hour.
