• Note: Only daughter of Walter and Mary Page Chiles. It is probably that she was born in James Citty, and must have been named for her grandmother, Elizabeth Chiles. Elizabeth married Henry Tyler before 1683. This date can be established by an entry in the court records of York Co unty on June 25th that year; a judgment in favor of Henry Tyler as "having married Elizabeth Chiles."
  
  Elizabeth's grandfather, Colonel John Page, in his will recorded 24 Feb 1691, left a legacy to his granddaughter, Elizabeth Tyler and his grandson, John Tyler. A great grandson of John Tyler was John Tyler, the tenth President of the United States. Entries in the Bruton and Middle Parish Register wold indicate that there were other children, who may have been the children of Henry Tyler and his wife, Elizabeth. "In 1684, died Henry Tyler, ye son of Henry Tyler, Sept. 27th. In 1695, Elizabeth, a daughter of Mr. Henry Tyler deceased, ye 30th of July. In 1712, Mrs. Ann Tyler ye daughter of Mr. Henry Tyler, died."²
