According to the will of Edward Boykin I, John received his father's plantation "whereon I now live and all land thereto belonging being five hundred and thirty acres, to my said son and his heirs forever." John, however, died intestate, soon after his father as an inventory of his estate, appraised by Frances Williamson, John Dunkley and Edward Harris, was recorded 23 Feb 1729. Final account of his estate was presented by his brother Edward Boykin, Jr., 27 March 1730-31. The printed records did not show his children, but, according to "Historical Southern Families, Volume III," a search of Isle of Wight deeds should show who deeded his land. The children of his brothers Edward, William and Thomas have been ascertained. John is said to have married Ann Williamson, but there is no proof. He left descendants in Isle of Wight. Francis Boykin of Northampton, North Carolina, is very probably his son, as he was not a son of any other of the children of Edward Boykin.

William Boykin was evidently married twice, as Ralph Vicars only mentioned three of his Boykin grandchildren in his will and they were his sole heirs. Also patent of 150 acres where John Phillips formerly lived; to daughter MARTHA BOYKIN 20 L. to sons WILLIAM, JOHN, THOMAS, SIMON, my patent of 500 acres at FISHING CREEK at North Carolina. Wife extex. Moved to South Carolina.

William Boykin was apparently married twice, as Ralph Vicars' will only mentioned three of his Boykin grandchildren in his will and they were his sole heirs and William's will mentioned four sons (William, John, Simon, and Thomas) and one daughter.
