Research has found an "Oluf Johnson" on the manifest of the Norge that departed from Copenhgen, with arrival at Ellis Island on 03 Apr 1893. A listserve message stated that Ola Johnansoon (Ole Johnson) leaves Sweden on September 3, 1891 for America.

Tradition is that it was Ole's mother's wish before she died that he emigrate and never return.
