Bonnie would tell you herself that she lived a very full and blessed life. She was born on May 19, 1930, to Irvin and Rose Thornton. She was the second oldest of a total of nine Thornton siblings: Barb, Wilma, Colleen, Minnie, Patty, Karen, Shirley, and Eddie and they were (and are) incredibly devoted to each other.

A frequent Bonnie-mantra was, "Are you sure you won’t have another piece?" She always looked forward to bowling with Frank and her league, lunch with her friends, and meeting with her bunko group.

All in all, Bonnie was devoted to her family and friends. There is no doubt that if Bonnie was writing this obituary, she would want all of you to know that she loved each and every one of you very much and, in return, she knows you loved her as well.

To honor and celebrate the life of this incredible woman, wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend, you are cordially invited to greet the family from 2 to 5 p.m. Sunday, July 9, at Iles Funeral Homes -Westover Chapel where a vigil service will be held at 5 p.m. A funeral mass will be held 10 a.m. Monday, July 10, at St. Mary of Nazareth Catholic Church with burial to follow at Glendale Cemetery.
