    Walter Eldon Loghry died on 8 October 2010, at age 93, in Ogden, Weber, Utah, United States, Walter (Russ) Eldon Loghry, loving father, grandfather, great-grandfather & great-great-grandfather, passed away October 8, 2010 in Ogden.

    He was born in Huron, South Dakota on March 9th 1917, to John N. & Eliza Warren Loghry, but grew up and attended school in Burwell, Nebraska. His family moved to Paradise Valley, Wyoming during the Depression.

    On July 5, 1940, he married the love of his life, Iva Jean Verley, in the Methodist church in Riverton, Wyoming. They homesteaded in the valley.
    During World War II he served in the U.S. Army & was stationed in Okinawa, Japan. After selling the farm he drove truck for Dick Truck Lines until they moved to Ogden in 1952. Other than 4 years spent in Kaysville, Ogden has been his home ever since. After working 27 years for Hill Air Force Base, he retired in 1979.

    He enjoyed working in the yard and tending to his roses. Grandpa was a homebody who loved to have his children & family around. You could always count on a game of 31 at grandpas. He also liked his drives to Wendover & Idaho to play the lottery. He loved playing his guitar & singing classic country music, (especially Carl Smith).

    He is survived by his sons, Harlen L. (Kaylene), of Ogden and Gary D., of Whitehall, Montana; daughters, Peggy M. Davis and Diana J. Morrell, both of Ogden; 14 grandchildren, 30 great-grandchildren; and 16 great-great-grandchildren.

    He was preceded in death by his wife, Iva Jean, on December 5, 2007; as well as five brothers, Kermit, Jack, Colin, Vic & Ralph; six sisters, Sogie, Emma, Babe, Leila, Goldie and Eleanora (just 6 days before him). Also one grandchild Bert Loghry and 2 sons-in-law: Arnie Davis & Lonnie Morrell.

    His obituary was published in Cheyenne, Laramie, Wyoming, United States. Ralph Edward Loghry, 83, of Cheyenne, Wyoming, passed from this world to eternal life on Tuesday, September 25, 2018 with his loving wife of 50 years by his side.

    Ralph was born January 28, 1935 in Riverton, Wyoming, a son of the late Goldie and Charles Loghry. He was one of 13 children.

    Ralph married Linda Rose Kaze on January 29, 1969 and they were later married in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Manti, Utah Temple on June 17, 1972. He and Linda raised a family of nine children, Randall Thompson, Roger (Roberta) Loghry, Margarete Loghry, Eddie (Micki) Loghry, Steven (Angel) Loghry, Michael (kari) Loghry, and Kevin Loghry.

    Ralph is survived by his wife, Linda; his children and grandchildren; his sisters, Edith FuQua and Agnes Alley; two brothers, Richard and Robert Loghry; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by two children, Dawnita Evonne and Mark Anthony.

    Private family services will be held at a later date. Cremation is under the care of Schrader, Aragon and Jacoby Funeral Home.
