Madsson Hermann
M, #1443, b. 1730
Biography
- Birth: Madsson Hermann was born in 1730.
- Marriage: He and Johanne Kirstine were married about 1760.
- Note: Hermann was the "Lord" himself, out of an old and mighty family. In generations owners of the two big manor-farms "SONDERSKOV" and "NIELSBYGARD." He could so what he liked to do with all the farmers in his district. The farmers in Stenderup, Fovling, Folding, Holsted, and Malt. He was also the judge in that district, almost a small king. Of course he was also an officer in the Royal Majesty the King's Army. Perhaps TERKEL had been a very brave soldier, or perhaps he had saved his "Lord" in a battle, since he was allowed to marry Hermann's daughters, and become his son-in-law!
Can you see him? Open the ball to Terkel's wedding, dancing minuet with the find ladies? At that time fine men wore wigs, it was shortly after Mozart's time, so they were dancing minuets!
There is a possibility of finding more information about this family by visiting the church in Fovling as there "is a big table for that family, a so called epitafia as memory over them."1
