  Funeral services for Ruth E. Rummans will be held Saturday at 10 a.m. at the United Methodist Church, Spearfish, with the Rev. Peter Moe officiating. Interment will be at Rosehill Cemetery, Spearfish, under the direction of the Fidler Funeral Chapel of Spearfish. Mrs. Rummans died at the Lookout Memorial Hospital in Spearfish Wednesday evening.
  
  Ruth E. Rummans was born in Polk County, Iowa, Oct. 5, 1896 to Isaac and Mary (Bailey) Sperling. She was married at Des Moines, Iowa Feb. 12, 1915 to William Henry Rummans. After their marriage they lived at Eagle Butte and in 1927 moved to Spearfish and since that time made their home at Nemo, Tinton and Spearfish.
  
  Mrs. Rummans was a member of the United Methodist Church of Spearfish and was active in the Lydia Circle of the Women's Fellowship of the church, and for many years was secretary of the Sunday School of the church and was a V.I.P. of the Spearfish Citizens.
  
  Among her survivors are two daughters, Mrs. Kermit (Mary) Edwards, and Mrs. Philip (Wilma) Knutson both of Spearfish, 6 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren and 3 nieces and 4 nephews. She helped raise Wayne and Lois Sperling, a niece and nephew.
  
  She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, William Henry Rummans, who died in 1965; a daughter, Valaria Ruth, in infancy; granddaughter, Mrs. Phyllis Schuldies; great grandson, Billy Jo Robinson; brother, Orla Sperling and a sister, Rose Ritchey.²

  Pete loved his job as a truck drive until his retirement.
  
  Preceding him in death are his parents, Phil and Wilma Knutson and his sister, Phyllis Schuldies. Pete is survived by his siter, Patsy (Perry) Storm, Godard, KS; Nieces, Jenene (Jerry) Horner, Avon, OH and Amy (Todd) Kennedy, Naples, FL; nephew, Brad (Jutta) Knutson, Belle Fourche, SD and their families and several cousins and friends.
  
  A celebration of Pete's life will be held at the Perkins Restaurant in Spearfish on Tuesday, March 1, 2022, at 1:00 pm. Pete's ashes will be buried on his sister, Phyllis's grave in Rose Hill Cemetery in Spearfish.
  
  Cremation arrangements were under the care of Isburg Crematory of Spearfish.¹
