Funeral services are 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at the At. Agnes Catholic Church, Vermillion. Burial is in the Calvary Cemetery, Vermillion. Visitation is one hour prior to the service Tuesday at the church. The Hansen Funeral Home, Vermillion, is in charge of arrangements. He was born Oct. 4, 1916, in Elk Point to Olof and Hanna (Hanson) Johnson. He married Vivian Hubert Nov. 18, 1942, at the Immaculate Conception Church, Denver. He served in the Army Air Force during World War II as a MP Sergeant. He worked in maintenance for the University of South Dakota for more than 20 years, retiring in 1979. He was a member of St. Agnes Catholic Church and the Vermillion VFW. His life was centered on his family and he valued time with his wife, children and grandchildren. He also loved his garden. He is survived by his wife, Vivian, Vermillion; two daughters: Cathy (Dennis) Olson, Brandon, and Julie (Greg) Lee, Mason City, Iowa; two sons: Randy (Pam), Holmen, Wis., and Ronny (Cathy), Washington, ILL; and eight grandchildren.5 He was buried on 27 May 2003 at Calvary Cemetery, Vermillion, Clay County, South Dakota.5
